Scale
Pastry
- 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
Filling
- 1 small wheel of Brie cheese, cut into small cubes
- 1/2 cup cranberry sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped (optional)
- Honey for drizzling (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a mini muffin tin or line it with mini muffin liners to prevent sticking.
- Prepare Puff Pastry: Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into 24 small squares ensuring even portions for the bites.
- Assemble Bites: Press each pastry square into the mini muffin cups, then place a small cube of Brie cheese at the center of each pastry piece for a creamy core.
- Add Toppings: Spoon about 1 teaspoon of cranberry sauce on top of each Brie cube and sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts over them if using to add a crunchy texture.
- Bake: Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, until the puff pastry turns golden brown and the Brie is melted and gooey.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove the bites from the oven, sprinkle fresh chopped rosemary on top for flavor, and optionally drizzle with honey for added sweetness. Allow the bites to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use mini muffin liners to make removal easier and cleaner.
- For a sweeter touch, drizzle honey after baking but before serving.
- These bites are best served warm but are delicious at room temperature.
- Can be made ahead and reheated in a low oven for serving.
- Nut toppings are optional and can be omitted or substituted based on preference or allergies.
