Ingredients
Scale
Cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Vegetables & Spices
- 1/2 cup frozen spinach, thawed and drained
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure easy cleanup.
- Mix Ingredients: In a bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella, Parmesan, thawed and drained spinach, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using, ensuring even distribution.
- Form Crisps: Spoon small mounds of the cheese and spinach mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart to allow spreading during baking.
- Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the crisps turn golden brown and develop a crispy texture.
- Cool and Serve: Remove the crisps from the oven and let them cool slightly on the baking sheet to firm up before serving.
Notes
- Make sure to thoroughly drain the spinach to avoid excess moisture that can prevent the crisps from crisping properly.
- Red pepper flakes are optional but add a nice kick to the flavor profile.
- These crisps can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days but are best enjoyed fresh for maximum crunch.
- For a twist, try adding different herbs like dried oregano or basil to the mixture.
